Inclusive home-stay in Montreal

Homestay provides students with the opportunity to use English or French in real life situations.

Students get a first hand experience of the way Canadians live. Our largest concentration of English/French homestays are in LaSalle, Notre-Dame-de Grace, Rosemont and Ville St-Laurent. In Canada it's normal that homestay providers go to work during the day. Classic Homestay students are responsible for getting to school and returning to their homestay by themselves, using the travel pass provided.

  • Getting to school & activities - journey to school/city centre: about 40 minutes by public transport
  • Meals - hosts serve three meals daily: breakfast, a packed lunch and dinner. They include the four basic food groups: protein (meat, fish, eggs), carbohydrates (bread, pasta, rice), dairy products (milk, cheese, etc), fruit and vegetables
  • Breakfast - juice and/or milk, cereal and/or muffins, toast/bagels
  • Lunch - sandwich (ex. sliced turkey, cheese, tomato and lettuce), fruit and vegetables (ex. apple, orange, banana, carrot and celery sticks) and juice box
  • Dinner - sample meal may include pasta, salad, bread and cheese, dessert and/or fruit (optional)
  • Or roast chicken and potatoes, cooked vegetables, dessert and/or fruit (optional)
  • Wifi is available at the homestay
  • Laundry facilities are available to the student at their homestay. Some families prefer to do the laundry for the student themselves
